Pumpkin Patch Preschool

So things have been just a little busy at our house, but my two weeks of preschool came to an end yesterday, and I have no stamp commitments until next month, Brenten's Halloween costume is coming together and Lexie's costume-well okay so thats not even close to done, but hey its started that should count right?? So anyway rewind to preschool-Preschool WHAT? Lexie is doing a preschool and we rotate teachers and my first block has been the last two weeks...wow, I didn't know how exhausting it would be to entertain 5, 2-3 year olds for a couple hours a week. It has been alot of fun though and Lexie has loved having school at her house. We capped of our week with a fieldtrip to my friends pumpkin patch. The kids were running and playing too much to get any really great photos, I should have done better with my focus but oh well sometimes you get what you get I suppose. Anyway here are a few shots at our trip to pick pumpkins....
Here's our little preschoolers....
Here's Lexie grinning at me on her quest for the perfect pumpkin....
Here's the little treat I made for the kids....
These were a little book I made for them....
These pumpkin rice crispy treats were so EASY and way fun to make,
we'll probably make them again at our house for Halloween...you should give them
a try too!!

Go BLUE and WHITE

Foot ball season is upon us, and sadly we don't get to watch many BYU games because we don't have the Mountain Network or whatever station you have to have to watch BYU, UTAH, or USU on. But Nick has been lucky enough to score a couple sets of tickets from work and he and Brenten have had a chance to see our Aggies play. They even were there when USU won IDAHO! I have two avid Cougar fans and so they were SO happy to go watch the Aggies play the Cougars, while the decision as to which team to root for was easy for Nick (Go BYU) Brenten was faced with quite a conundrum (that's for you mom) He didn't know which team to cheer for because he love BYU and the AGGIES! I told him to cheer for both! It was a great game and the Aggies played well, (even though they did lose, oh well maybe next time) And the boys had alot of fun...

Little Chef

So on Saturday Nick once again had tickets to the Aggie game (they won!!) anyway so off he and Brenten went for some male bonding...Loo La and I were left to our own devices and after a little Dora and some pretty toes, we decided it was time for some chocolate...we made a DELICIOUS and I do me SCRUMPTIOUS chocolate cake...click HERE for the recipe...anyway heres a few shots, I realize the photos aren't the best...and honestly the cake isn't the "prettiest" I've ever made..but oh it is SO good and pretty easy to make so I highly suggest...give it a try!
PS even before you start to look at the photos...I know I take and post WAY too many pictures...but enjoy then anyway!
Getting started..
Adding some ingredients...
Checking the progress
Chopping nuts...
Lexie was so proud she chopped them "all by herself"
And into the oven went the cake...
An hour later, it was baked, frosted and slightly cooled
and we had a bite...oh..yum! Too bad I didn't photo us enjoying our treat!
