This really is a random post of misc. stuff! First some of you may remember THIS POST from last year...every year Brenten's school has a sing and dance festival and this year they sang a fun song about polka-dot vests and pink shoe laces! Brenten did awesome of course! He stayed right on beat and knew every word...we were very proud of him! In other Brenten news, I was able to go to Parent Teacher night last week and talk with his teacher...Brenten is pretty much a genious! :) He is doing so GREAT in school! He was Student of the Month in February, and he is top of his class in reading, and does great in math as well! Keep up the good work dude~!
In other "school news" it was my turn to teach preschool a couple of weeks ago...Lexie was beyond excited that we got to teach about "BrockoBama" the first week we learned about Patriotism, our Country and President, George Washington and Abe Lincoln....hopefully the kids learned a little something even though one little student thinks our current Pres. is "rockin my bama" and a couple were certain Joseph Smith was the first President... the kids are way fun and definately keep it interesting!
The next week we learned about Weather and the Letter R, we painted rain clouds and sang songs about wind, sun, and snow!
And one more comment on "class time" I finished up another Cake Decor Class this one featuring Fondant and Gum Paste.... I really liked this class and felt like we learned some great techniques however on our last class when we are supposed to share our spectacular cakes my cake was the cake from HELL yes people I said it and yes I'll say it again...THE CAKE FROM HELL! It started out okay, the cake cooking in the oven, me at the counter molding some of my flowers, and then I started screwing up the flowers I ran out of colored gum paste before I had completed the petals, and I couldn't mix the right color to match because I had mixed a few colors, so I put that aside to work on some different flowers and right as I was finishing I bumped them wrong and broke a couple of petals, so I put aside the flowers decided to frost and fill my cake, I had this great vanilla cream filling and yummy frosting...when I was cutting my cake to fill it I realized the inside wasn't done...so the cake is falling apart half cooked I am trying to hold it together with toothpicks since there is NO time to cook another or even go buy one somewhere, I am covering it with fondant and I ripped the fondant down one side...then ran into to the color match problem with the fondant when I ran out of border...and when I got in my car to drive there I completely shoved my already stuggle-ugly cake into my steering wheel...what a freaking joke! The cake completely hideous but oh well I have another certificate saying I can decorate cakes so its all good I guess!
This turned out nothing like the cake I had invisioned!
And last but certainly not least we got to go and celebrate my neice's 1st birthday last weekend...Happy Birthday Lindsey! This marks the jumping off point of months of Family Fun...we have quite the run coming up but it will be a party I am sure!
Here's the Bday girl and her sista's
A little Wii Playing...

I saw a picture of you up in the Hobby Lobby last week holding one of your amazing cake creations. It was so funny to see your picture just out of the blue like that!
I think that you cake looks great!...love the flowers. How long does it take to make a cake like that(I think you have alot more patience than me).
I think your cake was beautiful. I want THAT cake for my next birthday. I wonder who that child is who thinks it's "rockin my bama"? Hmmm...I can guess who said JS was the 1st president...
