Winterfest

So I should definately be doing other work and not blogging, but I needed a break so here I am at my computer posting some cute pictures of Lexies latest dancing adventure!! :)
I'm not sure I'm crazy about this years costume (I loved last years way better) but I do love my little dancing girl and she sure loves to boogie!! The other night her class performed two dances, one was "My Little Umbrella" but as you can see the umbrella wasn't so little, it was quite a workout for some of those little ladies, but they were adorable and did a great job! Her next dance is to the song, "Its in his kiss.." not sure if that's the correct title but maybe...anyway here are a few photos and I guess I'd better get back to work!

Dance...Day Two

And this week she was pink....Miss Loo La Lay was so excited to wear her pink. And once again she LOVED being a ballerina. However she was not so into the predance photo shoot this week. The girl would not sit still for me to take her picture. Oh well, I like these shots anyway...I hope you do too!
One of the ballet dances they are learning is called My Little Tiny Toes...it is SO CUTE!
Just goofing off..."Here mom take my picture like this..."
Maybe we'll try outside, then she'll stand still...
Nope not a chance...

So She Thinks She Can DANCE!!!

So here is my "beautiful ballerina..." Lexie has been telling me she wants to learn to be a beautiful ballerina, for quite sometime now. I have wanted to sign her up for dance since the day she was born...but decided to wait until she was ready! :) Even now I really went back and forth, part of me thought she was too little (she is only 2) but another part knew she would love it. But then also comes the question of WHERE??!!!?? My friends daughter teaches dance at the rec center, since I wasn't sure if Lexie would really love to go to dance (and stay by herself) I figured maybe that would be a good place to start. What was I worried about~that girl was born to boogie! She couldn't wait for class, and with barely a glance over her shoulder was off. For the first lesson parents could stay and watch, and can I tell you there was no prouder mom in the place...she was so focused on the teachers and trying so hard to learn what they told her. She cannot wait until next week. I love that she LOVES dance so much!

She was so excited to put on her "ballerinas clothes, and have pretty sparkly ballerina hair"

Here's my girl getting ready to go....Lovin those sparkle leg warmers!
