Snow Days

Well we finally got hit with a real storm...I guess I shouldn't say finally because we have had a few, but this one seemed like it went on and on and on...it snowed all day and into the night Sunday, actually I think it started Saturday night. Sunday morning we had a couple of inches on our way to church and the parking lot was pretty much a skating rink--me being not so much the graceful ice skater, took a little spill and let me tell you I am feeling it! But as for fun in the snow, my babies got to play a little today...sadly it wasn't very good packing snow so Brenten's dreams of recreating Frosty are still on hold...but they had fun anyway making snow angels and throwing snow at each other.

Lexie's Luau!!

Lexie turned 2 on Dec. 20, since her birthday is so close to Christmas I really wanted to make sure the two events were totally separate, so for her birthday we had a LUAU! What could be more opposite from snowy and cold than tropical and pink?? Everyone got a treat bag at the door that had a lei, sunglasses, and either a seashell whistle, or a flower pen necklace...for dinner we had "Hawaiian Haystacks", we had a Hibiscus pinata, the kids played ring toss on a dolfins nose, and Lexie got two birthday cakes...one was an ocean scene, complete with fish and seaweed, sand and palm trees...the second, a little hula girl with her grass skirt and flowers!

Happy New Year!!

Wow we made it to 2008!!! Hopefully everyone had a great New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! Our house is still in recovery, hopefully by this weekend it will be back to semi normal! We had some friends over and it was great---a little different from last year, when Nick and I spent the evening doing a puzzle and watching Greys Anatomy! Here are a few pictures from our night...hopefully a few more will follow!

This was a little of the before set up.... not a whole lot, just good food, friends and Guitar Hero projected on a wall!!!

Here we are at midnight....Brenten had fun playing with Mason...and the second the last person was out the door, Lexie CRASHED!
I hope people had a good time though....Next year, Shell, Geash Brook, Shan and Rickie---come to LOGAN!!

Some of our projects...

Hi everyone! With Christmas so close, who knows if anyone is checking blogs but I thought I would post anyway!! I am sad, I lost some cute pictures due to our camera mishap, but I think everything is fixed now so I have a few new photos to add today! Here is a little look at some of the things we've been up too.....

I have been baking TONS of chocolate chip cookies, to deliver as neighbor gifts, and to some friends at work---I like holiday baking but I had no idea that I would end up making twelve dozen cookies just to fill a few treat bags!!

Here is another project, I really wanted someway to hang our stockings since sadly we don't have a fireplace mantel! I was pretty happy with how this shelf turned out, getting a good green was a little harder than one would think ( I was trying to just use stuff I had on hand since it was one of those projects that I was working on late at night) but I think it looks alright, I am waiting for some vinyl letters to go on the back but for now my Santa blocks work!

and my kids finally got to decorate their gingerbread house, it was supposed to be day 12 in our countdown but we kept running out of time...but alas yesterday they went to it and did a fabulous job!

And finally, here is one last shot of Lexie as a one year old!! Tomorrow this little one turns TWO!!! I can't believe it!!
Okay, I better run, I am off to Brentens school to help out today! Good luck to everyone with their Holiday activities!

Christmas Mail is on the Way!!!

Okay, I haven't posted in a while, my camera is having issues so I don't have any new pictures to share...but oh well I figured I would post anyway!!
Christmas prep has been hectic at our house, I think I planned way too many projects and now I am running out of time!! Oh well I guess what doesn't get done doesn't get done.
I did however finally finish my Christmas cards, so you should probably be expecting mail here in the next day or two--yes they were handmade since I got told by more than one, that being
a stampin up demo pretty much means I have no excuse not to be crafty-yeah well, I
don't what I think about that--but at least they are in the mail!! Now on to the next thing...what are you up to this holiday season???? Leave me comments and let me know!!

Happy Holidays!!

You can do anything, if you have the right shoes!!

We took the kids bowling a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to post some pictures, they had never been before and LOVED it!! We'll definately have to take them again...Lexie did awesome, granted she had a little help but she bowled 102! Embarrassingly enough, I only beat her by one point!! Brenten did pretty well also! And even though he was losing the whole night, Nick ended up winning with 115, only because Lexie helped him get a strike on his last turn!

Happy December!!

Oh my goodness, how is it December already! The countdown is on for Christmas and I can't believe it!! Luckily I think most of our holiday shopping is done, and it is only Dec. 3 so I am proud!! Now if I could just finish up some of the other projects I have going on! I did however get Brenten and Lexie's Christmas Tree Countdown finished so its ready to go...After I finished Grandma's I wasn't sure if I was really going to get to theirs but a couple late nights this weekend and they are set...I included pictures of both trees (so you can see what we've been up to)

Also we started another countdown, a Story a Day till Christmas, we wrapped up 24 books and put them under a little tree in Brenten's room so each night he can unwrap his bedtime story, unfortunately he and Lexie LOVE unwrapping the books, we'll see how long they last! Its been fun though..
Brenten and Lexie are way excited for Christmas this year, more than any other year! They love that we have lights on our house, Lexie calls our house "Lexie's Christmas House" and apparently we've started somewhat of a trend because alot more of our neighbors are putting up lights this year!
Now its on to Christmas cards...I am debating making them this year, yeah we'll see how that goes!! Have a great day everyone!
