My favorite Holiday!

Okay, so I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked, but I did get a few...a little late but here we go anyway! So St. Paddy's was way fun...we woke up and I made my kids GREEN pancakes, Brenten was a good helper, then we made chocolate chip cookies with GREEN m&ms. Brenten and Lexie definately wore their GREEN (we all did of course :) ) Brenten got to go on a leprechaun hunt at school...but sadly those tricky leprachauns got away--we'll catch 'em next year babe. We had some friends over for dinner--the menu, Corned Beef and Cabbage (traditional Irish), and then a variety of GREEN stuff...celery, cucumbers, broccoli, and peas in a veggie tray, GREEN pringles (yum!), chips and GREEN guacamole (what other color would it be I guess) GREEN jello, GREEN drink, GREEN sugar cookies, GREEN cupcakes...am I forgetting anything?!?!? It was fun, and hopefully you all enjoyed your holiday as well! We even had "GREEN BEER"!

Brenten helping make breakfast

Brenten peeking through the balloons...my kids LOVE balloons
and I couldn't resist these

I love that this year you could buy bags of only green M&Ms!

I have gone so far as to buy bags of Christmas candy and sort out the green!

Green Beer anyone?!?

Happy Birthday Mckenna

My niece, Mckenna turned 7 a week or so ago and we got to go celebrate with her and meet my new niece, Lindsey. Poor Lindsey, had to miss out on most of the festivities, because she has jandice(sp?) pretty bad and has been confined to light beds most of the time...hopefully this soon shall pass!

Welcome Little One

Introducing my new niece....

It's here, it's Here it's HERE!!!

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE!!!!

I hope you are all wearing GREEN and having a great day!!

Here is an Irish blessing for everyone today!
"May the road rise to meet you, may the wind always be at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face, and rains fall softly upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand."

And one more (mostly for my Grandpa)
"May you live to be a hundred years, with one more to repent!!"

Cheers everyone!

Little Miss Curly-Locks

So, Lexie's hair has a little bit of curl to it, really I have to work hard to get her mounds of curls I call natural...but believe me when you see these next pictures...NATURAL they are NOT!!

The Night Before

It looked like it would go so well...I had memories of my mom putting pink sponge curlers in me and my sisters hair, before school pictures, dance reviews, or church...maybe we should have gone pink instead of blue...

OH my goodness, can you say CURLY!!! This isn't even as bad as it got, Lexie had an afro! It was seriously out of control, but oh did she love her "curlies"

This is a little later, after naptime, and after I tamed the chaos into little pigtails.

Yeah, SPONGE CURLERS=CRAZY CURLS!!
