Let's Go AGGIES!!
On Friday night, we were lucky enough to score tickets to the Aggie Basketball game...they played UCSB and WON!! I can't remember the final score ( I know, I struggle) but the Aggies were 70--and that was more than UCSB!! Brenten and Lexie had lots of fun and loved getting all dressed up to go...they had matching shirts, and tatoos! Their favorite part was probably the snowcones and hotdogs--but Lexie absolutely loved BIG BLUE! Brenten was really into the game, and the few times the Aggies got behind he would lean forward in his seat and mutter "Come on guys, we need some points..." I loved it!

1 (8oz) Package linguini pasta
1 Tbsp olive oil
6 cloves of garlic (I cut this down a bit too)
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup white wine
1 lemon-juiced
1/2 tsp lemon zest
salt to taste
2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 pound shrimp-peeled and deveined
1/4 cup butter
3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat, and saute garlic about 1 minute. Mix in chicken broth, wine, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer until liquid is reduced by about 1/2.
Mix shrimp, butter, parsley, and basil into the saucepan. Cook 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp is opaque. Stir in cooked linguini, and continue cooking 2 minutes, until well coated.

Happy Valentines Day!!
What would Valentines be without making and decorating cookies?

Here is Brenten showing off his goodies from school...

Are last but not least, here are my two valentines! Poor Lexie once again had a rough day, she kept telling me "Mom, Lexie so so sick, Lexie no feel good" It was sad! Luckily today she is much better--hopfully we can kick this bug once and for all!!
Hopefully all of you had a great day!
