This Little Girl........

I don't know what to do sometimes with this little girl! She can be such a little stinker...but yet she is such a sweetheart too! Life is an adventure for her~ and she keeps us running far more than her brother ever did. To all those that said BOYS are the troublemakers---they have never lived with Brenten and Lexie!! The other day Brenten had gone to his friends to play, his friend lives pretty close to our house but it had been snowing so when it was time to go get him I put Lexie in her carseat and we went to go pick him up...now because it was just around the block I didn't fasten Lexie all the way...if you have kids or seen carseats I had pulled the bar down over her head and buckled that, but the chest harness part I hadn't buckled. Anyway so off to Mason's house we go...we get there and I run up to the door to get him--leaving Lexie in the car. BIG MISTAKE, after Brenten had found his backpack and put on his shoes, and said Goodbye we head down to the car...strangely enough when I go to open my door its LOCKED! Lexie is sitting there grinning at me! She had wrestled herself out of her carseat and climbed into the front seat and was pretending to drive!! Don't worry the illusion was perfect for her because the keys were in IGNITION! So here is Brenten and myself sitting in the driveway, locked out of our car trying to figure out what to do...Nick has the only spare key and he was in Salt Lake, so I am trying to point to the lock to have Lexie pull it up to unlock it, and she is just laughing and giggling and waving at me thinking I am sure that this is the greatest game! She danced from window to window, front seat and backseat, for probably 20 minutes while I am trying desperately to have her unlock the door....(Meanwhile mortified thinking I am going to have to go tell Jessica that my 2 year old has locked herself in my car, with the keys in ignition) Finally we got lucky, this is where Brenten saves the day~ Lexie leaned on the control panel for the windows, and the passenger side window starts going down...Brenten was leaning against that window and starts shouting "Mom the window, the window" he hurried and stuck is arm in and pulled up the lock! Finally we get in our car!!! THANK YOU BRENTEN!!! Never again will we go anywhere no matter how close without Lexie fully strapped in!!

Oh my gosh! That was so lucky that she leaned on the window switch! What a little stinker! You sure have your hands full.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe that happened! That is my worst nightmare, in fact, if my kids are ever in the car and not buckled up, I have to make sure I have the keys in my hand because I worry something like that would happen. Luckily she opened the window! What a cute crazy little girl!
